How does Auting work?

You can find a car either from the homepage of this website or on Auting’s app by typing in the city and dates that you're searching.

You will see available cars in the city and dates you choose on a map and in a list with price and car model.

You will be able to submit multiple booking requests at the same time.

Owners will be able to accept your request, reject it or let it expire.

Once your request has been accepted, you can proceed with payment

At the time of reservation request, the Driver must be at least 21 years old and have had a valid driving license in Italy for a minimum of 3 years.

The Driver must possess the following documents:

- a valid identification document (ID card or passport)

- a driving license valid in Italy (the date of first issue or last renewal of the license must be present on the document and must be dated before the last 3 years)

- if the license is issued in a nation outside the European Union, the Driver must present, in addition to the national license, an International Driving Permit (IDP)

For the duration of the booking the car enjoys damage, theft, glass and vandalism cover from Reale Mutua Assicurazioni.

Pick-up of the car takes place only after the reservation has been paid.

After the reservation is paid, the Owner's phone number will be visible in the trip details.

The place of initial car pick-up and drop-off can be agreed upon by Driver and Owner at the time of booking.

Auting is an eco-friendly service allowing the use of cars that would remain unused.

This also makes it possible to provide a more user-friendly service, based on a direct connection with the owner.

Finally, Auting price is cheaper than a car rental service and includes:

- premium 24/7 roadside assistance,

- 0 € security deposit

- a limited liability threshold (to be selected at the time of booking).
